Top ICC Team to Officiate Inaugural Bangladesh Test
ICC Media Release October 10, 2000
The ICC has appointed one of its most senior teams of match officials to take charge of Bangladesh's inaugural Test match against India in Dhaka next month.
Raman Subba Row from England will be match referee with Steve Bucknor (West Indies) and David Shepherd (England) as umpires. The third umpire will be appointed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board from its local panel of first class umpires, and will be announced in the near future.
"This will be an historic occasion as Bangladesh becomes the tenth Test playing nation," said ICC cricket operations manager Clive Hitchcock. "The appointments of these very experienced and respected officials reflect the high profile and importance of the match," he added.
