Haryana thus took eight points from this, their first encounter of the season. Set to score 42 for a win, Haryana completed the formalities in 9.5 overs while losing two wickets. Opener Raj Kumar (11) was the first to be dismissed when he was bowled by Kunal Lal. With only 13 on board, the Haryana skipper Ishan Ganda walked in. Ganda and M Bisla took the score on to 39 when Bisla gave a catch to Bola off Sachdeva. Then Ganda and Sumit Sharma took Haryana home. Earlier, the Delhi second innings folded up at 193. Kunal Lal was the first to go in the second over of the day, caught by Joginder Singh off Mishra. Then Dileep (12) and Uniyal (47) took the score to 122 when Dileep fell leg before to Mishra. Two overs later wicketkeeper Bola (1) departed after giving a catch to Sumit Sharma off Mishra. Gupta (2) followed him back to the pavilion. Howevver a 49-run ninth wicket stand between Uniyal and V Khurana (10) in 15.3 overs helped Delhi avert an innings defeat. Ten runs later, the Delhi innings folded up. The second day's play witnessed Haryana stretch their first innings lead over Delhi to 152 runs while Delhi ended the day at 99 for 4 in their second innings. Resuming at their overnight score of 159 for 3, Haryana lost opener Manvinder Bisla (84) who managed to added just four more runs against his name. Deepak Joon (43) and Rohit Arya (14) then put on 34 runs for the fifth wicket in 22.1 overs. Joon departed after offering a catch to Yashpal Singh off Sachdeva. Arya was the next to be dismissed when he was bowled by Gupta. Thereafter it was just a procession of batsmen as Sachdeva ripped through the Haryana lower order. The Haryana innings folded up at 237. Sachdeva along with Khurana were the sucessful bowlers for Delhi capturing four wickets each. Delhi, who were dismissed for 85 runs in the first innings, made a circumspect start. They lost opener RS Bisht (3) leg before off Joginder Singh in the fifth over of the innings. Then skipper G Gambhir (27) joined D Mohan (29) and the two added 62 runs for the second wicket off 28 overs. Gambhir then fell, when he gave a catch to Bisla off Agarwal.
