Symonds included for Blues clash
Queensland Cricket - 17 October 2000

Australian One Day allrounder Andrew Symonds is the only change in the XXXX Queensland Bulls side to take on the NSW Blues in Sunday’s Mercantile Mutual Cup match at Bankstown Oval in Sydney.

Symonds comes in for allrounder Dale Turner in the only alteration to the Bulls side that opened its Mercantile Mutual Cup campaign with a narrow win over the Southern Redbacks a fortnight ago.

The Blues represent formidable opposition, with the team at full-strength and coming off a crushing win over the Victorian Bushrangers at the North Sydney Oval on Sunday where they became the first team to earn a bonus point under the new playing conditions for the 2000-2001 season.

The Bulls arrive back from Perth tonight after collecting first innings points against the Western Warriors, with a defiant partnership between Adam Gilchrist and Simon Katich thwarting hopes of an outright win in the first Pura Cup match of the summer.
