Dale named for Tigers clash
Queensland Cricket - 23 October 2000
XXXX Queensland Bulls swing bowler Adam Dale will test his recovery from a shoulder complaint at training tomorrow after being named today in the Pura Cup team to take on the Tasmanian Tigers at Allan Border Field from Thursday.
Dale was a late withdrawal from the Bulls team that lost to NSW yesterday after a shoulder injury suffered in Queensland’s opening Pura Cup match against the Western Warriors flared up on Friday.
Dale had a cortisone injection on Friday evening and will ascertain his recovery tomorrow when the Bulls train from 3pm at Allan Border Field. The session will be the only one for the team prior to the match starting on Thursday.
The Queensland side named today is unchanged from that which narrowly avoided an outright win over the Warriors in Perth.
Tasmania, with Test batsman Ricky Ponting keen for his first hit-out of the season, arrived today and will train tomorrow at Allan Border Field.
XXXX Queensland Bulls: Stuart Law (c), Matthew Hayden, Jimmy Maher, Martin Love, Andrew Symonds, Clinton Perren, Wade Seccombe, Andy Bichel, Adam Dale, Ashley Noffke, Joe Dawes, Matthew Anderson (twelfth man to be named).
