VCA appoints community cricket manager

The Victorian Cricket Association today announced the appointment of John Harris as its Community Cricket Manager. He replaces Matthew Kennedy who has joined the International Cricket Council as its East Asia Development Manager.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Cricket Association, Ken Jacobs, welcomed the appointment. "The VCA is delighted to have John Harris join our management team, he brings a wealth of cricket experience and expertise to the position.
The VCA Community Cricket Department works directly with the twelve VCA Regional Cricket Managers, liaising with the 1273 cricket clubs throughout the State, as well as cricket associations and local government authorities.
John Harris is a highly regarded cricket administrator and is currently a Vice-President of the Victorian Country Cricket League (VCCL). He is a delegate to the VCA from the VCCL, Victorian U19 team selector, and is also President of the Bendigo District Cricket Association. John has also been the author of a number of sporting books and a former lecturer at La Trobe University Bendigo.
