Three batsmen distinguished themselves with unbeaten half centuries in the latest round of matches in the 2000 Piton Malta Herman Griffith Primary Schools’ Cricket Competition yesterday. West Terrace Primary’s Jer Pile stroked nine fours and one six in his 79 not out against Welches Primary, while Shawn Forde 60 not out, and Jamal Springer 56 not out, were the stars of the day at Hillaby where their school, Hillaby/Turner’s Hall Primary hosted St. Bernard’s Primary. St. Catherine’s Primary (Zone C1), Ignatius Byer Primary (A1), St. Stephen’s Primary (D1) and defending champions St. Giles Primary (B1) all extended their run to 4-0.
