Warwickshire give Giles one-year extension to contract Sean Beynon - 15 April 2001
Ashley Giles has signed a one-year extension to his contract with Warwickshire. The deal now extends Giles' contract at Edgbaston for a further four years until the end of the 2004 season. The 28-year-old left-arm spinner has also been given an England contract this summer. He has been given permission to rest for a further six weeks after being troubled by a long-standing Achilles injury. Warwickshire begin their season on Friday, facing Hampshire at Edgbaston in the second division of the County Championship. © CricInfo Ltd.
