Lancashire CCC have announced that former Australian coach, Bobby Simpson, will be leaving them in September at the end of his two year contract.
The Lancashire committee were due to discuss his position at a meeting tonight, but 65-year-old Simpson has decided not to seek an extension to his contract.
A club statement read:
"The club are grateful he has made this decision at an early stage and wish to place on record their thanks to Bob for his efforts during the past two seasons."
