ZCU President to represent ICC at Racism in Sport summit
ZCU Media Release - 23 August 2001

Zimbabwe Cricket Union President, Peter Chingoka, has been nominated to represent an International Cricket Council team to attend the International Colloquium on Racism in Sport on 4th September 2001 in Durban, South Africa.

According to a letter received by Chingoka from Malcolm Speed, Chief Executive Officer of ICC, the other members of the ICC team will be Andrew Eade, ICC Development Manager, Advocate Percy Sonn, President of United Cricket Board of South Africa and Gerald Majola, Chief Executive Officer of UCBSA.

The International Colloquium on Racism in Sport forms part of the International Conference on Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Other Intolerances, which will run from 30 August to 7 September 2001 under the auspices of the United Nations.

South Africa's Minister of Sport, Ngconde Balfour, wrote to request that a delegation from ICC be present at this conference.
