Gloucestershire all-rounder Jeremy Snape is one of six new faces in the 16-man one-day squad to tour Zimbabwe in September and October.
Jeremy's call-up came as a huge surprise to the player and he admitted: "It hasn't really sunk in yet because it was so unexpected. I knew my name was being discussed but I never thought I would make the squad.
"I had planned to have a quiet autumn at home but now I'm changing my plans for all the right reasons."
Jeremy believes his improved form with the bat is the single biggest factor in his unexpected promotion. "I worked hard on my technique and concentrated on batting for longer periods last winter. That has now paid off and scoring four tons in a season has certainly helped my cause."
