Match referee Jackie Hendriks has started a hearing into Brett Lee's behaviour during the third cricket Test against New Zealand at the WACA here today.

Lee is being questioned over his send-off of New Zealand batsman Shane Bond.

The Australian fast bowler shouted at Bond and then pointed aggressively towards the pavilion after bowling the New Zealand tailender.

Hendriks has a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours to make a ruling.
