PCB orders inquiry into NSK robbery 8 December 2001
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has ordered investigations into reports of robberies in the National Stadium which led to stadium authorities taking the law into their hands. A PCB spokesman said on Friday that appropriate action will be taken after thorough inquiry. It may be mentioned here that a PCB official Razaullah Khan sent his three officials for house search of one of the watchmen, thus bypassing the law of the land. It is alleged that the watchman Fazal was insulted and humiliated by the three officials who could not unearth any stolen items from his house. The raiding party was investigating the theft of carpets, chairs, an iron gate and electronic scoreboard cables. © Dawn Source: Dawn Editorial comments can be sent to Dawn at webmaster@dawn.com |
