North Otago placed themselves in a strong position to secure the Zone 4 Challenge Match in the Hawke Cup this season, by completing a comprehensive outright victory by an innings and 137 runs over Central Otago at Molyneux Park on the weekend. North Otago batting first declared at 297 for 8 with Grant Billcliff scoring 59 and Duncan Drew 49 as John Conlan took three for 88.
