Sachin legs it to a century Wisden CricInfo staff - December 13, 2001
Part of Sachin Tendulkar's brilliance is his ability to play shots all around the wicket, but in making yet another superb hundred today - his fifth in 11 Tests against England - he was content to accumulate almost 80% of his runs on the leg side. Accounting for Tendulkar's wristiness, Nasser Hussain often gave him an 8-1 off-side field, but even then Tendulkar was able to whip and work the ball from outside off to leg. In one mesmeric over from Matthew Hoggard he did it three times and gained 11 runs. Rarely has the cliché "you can't set a field to him" run truer.
