Boycott's coaching schedule finalised 4 February 2001
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized three coaching schedules for national squads at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, which will be supervized by former England opener Geoff Boycott from Monday. According to details, the New Zealand-bound Pakistan senior squad will attend the three-day programme from Monday. From Feb 8 to 11, the under-17 players will be imparted training. The players called up include all those who are the in squad for Under-17 Asia Cup as well as those were omitted from the final camp. Salman Butt, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Altaf, Kashif Ijaz, Salman Qadir, Javed Hussain, Mohammad Naeem, Adnan Akmal, Azam Hussain, M. Azhar Ali, Agha Tahir, Junaid Zia, Najaf Shah, Nadeem Javed, Shahid Yousuf, Mohammad Fahim, Khaqan Raja, Munir Ansari, Kashif Mahmood, Umair Rao, Shehryar, Riaz Afridi, Mohammad Saleem, Wajab Riaz, Farooq Babar and Raza Dar. The third phase of the Boycott programme is a seven-day coaching session commencing from Feb 12 for Pakistan probables. The players for that schedule will be named later. Meanwhile, the Cricket Academy, supervised by ex-Test opening batsman Mudassar Nazar, starts from Monday at the Academy Cricket Ground, Gaddafi Stadium. © Dawn
