Justin Kemp signs contract with EP for next two years Ronel Dawson - 15 February 2001
Eastern Province Cricket is proud to announce that EP allrounder, Justin Kemp, who made his international debut, recently, has signed a two-year contract with Eastern Province. Dave Emslie, CEO of Eastern Province Cricket says EP is proud of the fact that they have a contract with Justin Kemp. "It is an endorsement of the faith and time the province has invested in him. "Justin has responded remarkably to the environment that EP Cricket has provided. It is an absolute pleasure to see him blossom in this environment. Justin's signing of the contract is an asset to EP Cricket. and a vote of confidence in the set up at EP Cricket and in the EP Coach, Adrian Birrell." Kemp says he is extremely happy that he can stay in Port Elizabeth. "I love Port Elizabeth and I knew that it would be in my best interest to stay with EP Cricket. I had offers from other provinces, but we have something in the Eastern Province that would be hard to find elsewhere. "We have a very good, young team with amazing potential and with the advice and help from our coach, Adrian Birrell, I am sure that it will just be a matter of time before EP becomes a powerhouse in South African cricket. "I'm looking forward to the next two years and we must try to win as many trophies as possible," he says. President of EP Cricket, Mr. Flip Potgieter said it is thrilling news for everyone involved at EP Cricket.
