Hampshire on pre-season tour to South Africa

Whilst work continues to get the Hampshire Rose Bowl ready for the start of the cricket season, Hampshire's players and coaching staff are off to South Africa for a two week tour.
The team play in a 40-overs a side, Quadrangular tournament against Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Boland at the Boland Park Ground in Paarl, a wine growing area near Cape Town. They then follow this with a three day match against A Boland Invitational XI at Stellenbosch University the another two one day matches at Constantia in the heart of Cape Town.
A fuller itinery will be available soon, and every effort will be made to bring you scores and reports to the Hampshire Web Site.
The team depart from Heathrow on the evening of 27th March and return to England early on 11th April, just before travelling to Taunton for a three day friendly against Somerset.
