Pakistan set up a semi-final clash with arch rivals India in the Under-17 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament when they defeated hosts Bangladesh by 77 runs in the last Group 'B' match at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.

India finished runners-up in Group 'A' after holders Sri Lanka defeated them by 61 runs at BKSP Ground-2, according to details available here.

In Thursday's semi-finals, favourites Sri Lanka face Bangladesh at Bangabandhu National Stadium while the clash between Pakistan and India takes place at TAL Ground.

Salman Qadir smashed 74 off 82 deliveries with five fours and four sixes as Pakistan made 234 for eight in 45 overs after Bangladesh put them into bat.

Bangladesh, in reply, were dismissed for 157 in 41.5 overs. Left-arm pacer Najaf Shah sliced through the top-order to capture three for 29. Slow left-armer Azam Hussain claimed three for 23 while Salman Qadir took one for 12 in nine overs to win the Man-of-the-Match award.

Wicket-keeper Gihan de Silva was Sri Lanka's hero. He stroked four fours and a brace of sixes in a match-winning unbeaten 77 off 80 balls as Sri Lanka reached 244 for five after losing the toss.

India were restricted to 183 in 43 overs despite Mohnish Mishra's 54 off 65 balls.

However, the youngster to steal limelight on the final day of league fixtures was Oman captain Adnan Ilyas. He blazed his way to an incredible 199 not out against Malaysia as Oman collected 330 for eight in their 45 overs at J. University Ground. Adnan blasted 29 fours and three sixes in 130-ball innings.

Kuwait emulated Oman by chalking up their first victory in Group 'B' when defeated Singapore by four wickets at BKSP Ground-2.
