Caddick and Trescothick back for Wednesday
SOMERSET Article - 9 July 2001

Somerset Coach Kevin Shine said that the return of England players Andrew Caddick and Marcus Trescothick for the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire match on Wednesday would be "a huge boost," but admitted "it will make selection for the match hard and interesting."

The final team line up will be announced later on Tuesday morning, but is likely to be drawn from the team that played on Sunday with the addition of Caddick and Trescothick.

Regarding yesterday's defeat he said, "the Notts boys Bicknell, Johnson and the 16-year-old Shafayat -a real talent for the future - all batted really well and hit a lot of boundaries."

Looking forward to Friday's match against the Aussies he said: "It's an innovative idea of the Chief Executive to bring in the two Pakistan players because it will allow me to rest crucial players before the run in to the end of the season."

The team for the match on Friday will be announced on Thursday morning.
