The West Indies Under-19 team won both their games against Trinidad & Tobago Under-19 this week. The matches, played at Charlieville, Trinidad, were arranged as preparation for the West Indies squad before they commence their tour of England later this month. The West Indians won their 40-over-a-side game on Tuesday by 18 runs. Leeward Islands all-rounder Omari Banks, who recently made a guest appearance in England at first-class level for Leicestershire against Pakistan, top scored for WI with 51, while captain Brenton Parchment made 44. Off-spinner Ryan Austin took 2/28 in dismissing T&T for 157. Thursday's encounter was closer, the West Indies reaching their target of 155 in a 12-batsman-a-side game with one wicket remaining. Carlton Baugh was top score for WI with 75, but T&T bowler Amit Jaggernauth took 5/46. The West Indies will play three one-day internationals and three four-day tests against the England Under-19 side, with the first limited-over game scheduled for July 27. © 2001 CricInfo Ltd
