Zimbabwe v Sri Lanka 1999-2000 Wisden CricInfo staff - July 5, 2001
At Bulawayo, December 11. No result. Toss: Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe went into the one-day series without all-rounder Johnson, who was having treatment on the groin injury that had prevented him bowling in the Tests. They won the toss, for a change, but inaccurate bowling allowed Jayasuriya, finding his best form of the tour, to race to 54 in 44 balls, including three sixes over point. After his dismissal, the bowlers regained a measure of control. A target of 285 looked unlikely, but Grant Flower and Campbell made a good start, reaching 51 in 11 overs, before rain ended their pursuit. © Wisden CricInfo Ltd |
