Rain dominates: Australia - Pakistan share points Mahmood Ahmad - 16 June 2001
Pakistan and Australia shared a point each, after continuous rain caused today's game to be abandoned at Chester-le-Street. This was to be the second match between the two in the NatWest Series; the first at Cardiff having been won by Australia. Maintaining its unbeaten record, Australia has 7 points in 4 matches, while Pakistan has 5 from an equal number of games. The next match of the series will be between Pakistan and England at Headingley before the Pakistan-Australia day-nighter at Trent Bridge on the 19th. © CricInfo Limited
