Despite his cheerfully chubby exterior, Rahman, Bangladesh's first Test captain, is a tough enough competitor to have earned the nickname "Durjoy", meaning invincible. Standing only just over five foot tall, he floats the ball up insouciantly, like many a schoolboy offspinner, and turns it a good distance when it arrives. Sachin Tendulkar, a decent player of spin, was his third Test victim. Rahman tends to lose his loop in the one-day game, though it suits his bold batting, which is good enough to earn a slot in the top six.
