India selectors make four changes

NEW DELHI - India has made four changes to its squad for the second cricket Test against Australia at Calcutta next week.

Two have been forced with pace bowlers Javagal Srinath and Ajit Agarkar out through injury and illness.

Replacing them are Venatesh Prasad, who toured Australia last season, and Ashish Nehra, who played for India A against Australia in the opening tour match.

Legspinner Narendra Hirwani has been axed from the squad without featuring in the first Test while Rahul Sanghvi has been dropped after just one Test.

They are replaced by offspinner Sarandeep Singh, who is currently playing against Australia for the Board President's XI, and leftarm orthodox spinner

Venkatapathy Raju, who hasn't played for his country since the third Test against Australia in 1998.
