Rumours circulating around the cricket world that Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak had been abducted from his farm in Bulawayo are completely unfounded.

In view of political troubles in Zimbabwe at the moment, the rumours were gathering both pace and credibility over the course of the last 24 hours. However, a source in the Zimbabwe Cricket Union who had been in touch with Denis Streak (Heath's father), at the family home, confirmed that his son was in no danger and that the rumours were totally without foundation.
