ICC Media Release: West Indies v South Africa match officials
ICC Media Release - 8 March 2001
ICC and West Indies Board officials have been announced for the five Test match series between West Indies and South Africa in the Caribbean.
Mike Denness, the former Kent and England captain, is the ICC referee for the Test series. Umpires are confirmed as:
First Test, Guyana: John Hampshire, England and Edward Nicholls, WI
Second Test, Trinidad: Darrell Hair, Australia and Billy Doctrove, WI
Third Test, Barbados: Darrell Hair and Steve Bucknor, WI
Fourth Test, Antigua: Srinivas Venkataraghavan, India and Edward Nicholls, WI
Fifth Test, Jamaica: Srinivas Venkataraghavan and Steve Bucknor, WI
New Zealand's John Reid will take over from Mike Denness as ICC referee for the seven One Day Internationals that follow the Test series.
