CricInfo passed another landmark at 0200 GMT on Thursday when it recorded its two billionth page impression. Last week the site had its busiest week on record, with more than 45 million page impressions, and the busiest single day on Wednesday 28th February with 16.9 million page impressions.

Since CricInfo launched in 1993, traffic has been growing constantly. The billionth page impression was passed in January 2000.

CricInfo's Managing Editor Stephen Lamb said: "It's an extremely busy time of year for international cricket at the moment, so it's not surprising that the game is being followed so closely by our users. It's likely that the traffic will keep rising this month, with four Test Matches starting over a five day period this week."
