Lancashire clinch sponsorship deal Media Release - 9 March 2001
Lancashire County Cricket Club have clinched a new three-year sponsorship deal with Altrincham-based company LBM Solutions. The deal, worth up to £750,000, is one of the biggest in county cricket. The new Club Sponsors LBM Solutions are one of the top 20 UK Direct Marketing companies and their name will appear on both the white kit and coloured clothing.
Lancashire's Sales and Marketing Manager Geoff Durbin commented: "I am delighted with the deal. If a company is going to spend several hundred
thousand pounds of their hard-earned marketing budget, you have to build in to your proposal several unique features which will make a deal attractive. We are not just a cricket club, although playing the game is paramount. We have an on-site hotel, one of the best indoor cricket centres in the world and superb conference and banqueting facilities. All those features help a company make up their mind, when considering a major sponsorship deal."
Paul Beck, the Chief Executive of LBM Solutions said: "The relationship with Lancashire County Cricket Club makes great business sense. We will use the sponsorship as a springboard for the launch of LBM Solutions. We are a young ambitious company, currently with 300 employees and this should rise to 1,000 over the sponsorship period. The sponsorship is an exciting prospect, and a perfect way to get LBM's message out to a wider audience."
