SEPL - But it is a wet start to the season though! Mike Vimpany - 7 May 2001
The wettest winter on record carved significant inroads into Saturday's scheduled opening round of matches in the Southern Electric Premier Cricket League. Ten of the 19 matches were called off, including Calmore Sports' ECB Premier 1 clash against South Wilts at soggy Loperwood Park. The Division 2 games at Cove, Trojans and United Services were postponed, with only three matches surviving a badly depleted Division 3 programme. © SPCL
