A strong Somerset Second Eleven beat Gloucestershire Seconds in the One Day Trophy at Bristol on Monday.
Somerset batted first and scored 291 for 4 wickets in their 50 overs with Matthew Wood making an impressive unbeaten 114. His runs were scored from 144 balls and contained 1x6 and 13x4's. Ian Blackwell contributed a hard hitting 43, which contained 1x6 and 3x4's off 46 balls.
Gloucestershire were all out for 269, Blackwell being the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 37, well supported by Matt Bulbeck who had figures of 10 overs 2 maidens 2 wickets for 30 runs.
Bulbeck, though bowling slightly below full pace came through the match without any problems, as did Keith Parsons who skippered the side.
