A number of people have asked why Mark Lathwell was missing from the Sunday side against Kent, after batting so well on Saturday.

Kevin Shine confirmed that Mark had originally been in the line-up, and had set out from his home in North Devon in time to reach the County Ground for the start.

At about 10.30 on the way up to Taunton he was sick, and phoned in to tell the coach that he wouldn't be able to play. Thankfully he has now fully recovered.
