Zimbabwe U14 squad Tristan Holme - 23 November 2001
The Zimbabwe Under-14 cricket team to tour South Africa in December was selected over the half-term weekend. Mr Mike Nash of St. George's College was, as always, the convener of trials, and the following squad was selected (player's school listed beside him in brackets): Jonathan Brundle (St. John's College), Stewart Cameron (St. George's College), Victor Chaitezvi (Jameson), Liam Graham (Peterhouse), Ryan Higgins (St. George's College), Brendon Hunt (Christian Brothers College), Keith Kondo (Churchill), Keegan Meth (Christian Brothers College), Glenn Querl (Peterhouse), Krishna Sivakumaran (St. George's College), Stuart Torr (St. George's College), Shaun Wilson (Petra High School). Zimbabwe is renowned for producing cricketing families, and the Zimbabwe Schools sides show why this is - Jonathan Brundle is the younger brother of Zimbabwe Under-19 player, Michael Brundle, and Stewart Cameron, who will captain the side, is the younger brother of James Cameron in the Zimbabwe Under-16 side. Liam Graham will be the side's wicket keeper. Mr Dilip Chouhan from Westridge High School and Mr Shane Cloete from the Zimbabwe Cricket Union will travel with the squad of 12 as manager and coach respectively. The squad will tour Durban, South Africa, between 10 and 14 December 2001. © Cricinfo Source: Zimbabwe Cricket Online Editorial comments can be sent to the editor, John Ward. |
