Joshi to lead India 'A'

Middle-order batsman Jacob Martin and veteran spinner Sunil Joshi have been named captains of the first two first-class sides England will face in India.. Martin will captain the Board President's XI in Hyderabad on November 22-24. He has a solid first-class record, averaging over 50, but in ten one-day internationals he has yet to reach 50. Joshi, who has played 15 Tests, will lead the India `A' side in Jaipur on November 27-29. Offspinner Sharandeep Singh, who impressed in his maiden Test against Zimbabwe last year, and promising wicketkeeper Ajay Ratra, who was at one stage lined up to fly to South Africa to replace the injured Sameer Dighe, will be hoping to win Test places with good performances.
