The Minister of Urban Development, Public Utilities, Housing and Sports had appointed Mr. Manil Jayasinghe and Mr. Kushil Gunasekera to the Interim Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka, with effect from the 15th November of 2001.

Mr. Manil Jayasinghe, ACA, FCMA, is a Partner at Ernst & Young, the reputed firm of Chartered Accountants. He will look after the financial aspects of the BCCSL for the Interim Committee. Mr. Kushil Gunasekera was the Co-ordinating Secretary to the Interim Committee and is the Chairman of the Tour Organizing Committee of the BCCSL. He was the Secretary for the Under-19 World Cup which was successfully conducted in Sri Lanka earlier this year.

They succeed Dr. P. Ramanujan and Mr. Richard Ebel, who have resigned from the Interim Committee due to heavy commitments elsewhere.
