And four of the best

India have always relied on a few key players to win them matches. Here's a look at their performances in those eight disastrous finals.
Sachin Tendulkar
He has played only four of the eight finals, and hasn't
exactly covered himself with glory. His scores read 0, 69, 5, 0, for a tally of 74 from four innings. That's another record he'll want to set straight at Durban.
Sourav Ganguly
The other half of the best one-day opening pair in the world, Sourav has done better than Sachin. He has played all eight matches and scored 268
runs, including a hundred (117) against New Zealand in the ICC Trophy final. However, his average of 33.5 is well below his career average of 44.3
Rahul Dravid His record is the best among the trio -- 231 runs from seven
matches at 38.5, which includes an unbeaten 103 against West Indies in
Singapore. That's higher than his career one-day average of 37.6.
Anil Kumble Like Tendulkar, Kumble has featured in just four of these
finals, and has taken five wickets for 190 runs in 38 overs. The economy
rate of five runs an over, and the average of 38, suffer when compared to
his career figures (economy rate 4.19, average 28.64).
