Henry Williams returns for Sixes Wisden CricInfo staff - October 2, 2001
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) Williams, who was banned for six months and fined for accepting an offer from former South African captain Hansie Cronje to underperform in a one-day international against India in Nagpur on March 19 2000, was included in the South African squad for the event announced on Monday. The South African squad to play India in the first two matches of the triangular series also involving Kenya was announced. It did not include fast bowler Allan Donald and left-arm spinner Nicky Boje, who have been sidelined through illness and injury respectively. "We would like to see Nicky and Allan play domestic cricket first before we pick them for the national side," said selection convenor Rushdi Magiet. South Africa will play India in Johannesburg on Friday and in Benoni on Sunday. Fast bowler Mornantau Hayward has been added to the South Africa A squad for Wednesday's match against India as cover for Mfuneko Ngam, who is still recovering from injury.
