Wasim Akram steals limelight 1 October 2001
KARACHI, Sept 30: Wasim Akram returned match haul of eight for 92 as National Bank held PIA to a draw in their Patron's Trophy clash at Sheikhupura Stadium Sunday. According to a message received here, NBP, were set a target of 368, finished on 330 for eight in their second innings after resuming at 51 for one. Wasim Akram, who claimed four for 39 in the bankers' first innings, captured four for 53 in 20 overs. Abdur Razzaq also claimed four wickets while conceding 55 runs in 22 overs. He ended up with seven for 123 in the match. National Bank's batting heroes on the fourth and final day were Akhtar Sarfraz (89 off 240 balls in 306 minutes), veteran Sajid Ali (58 off 71 balls in 109 minutes) and Pakistan vice-captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, who remained undefeated with 64 off 130 deliveries in a stay of just over three hours.
