WSG Nimbus issue second statement in rights dispute WSG Nimbus - 18 October 2001
Further to the statement issued yesterday WSG Nimbus Pte Limited confirms that it will continue to seek redress from the actions taken by the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) in purporting to terminate the Agreement. As an example of this WSG Nimbus is in the process of filing a notice with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre ("SIAC") and will also shortly be submitting an application to have the ex parte court order granted in Colombo on 16th October set aside. WSG Nimbus has complied with all the terms of the Agreement with the BCCSL and is continuing to do so. In keeping with this and despite the actions taken by the Board WSG Nimbus has today instructed its bank to make a further payment to the BCCSL in accordance with WSG Nimbus' payment obligations. WSG Nimbus will take all available legal action in order to protect its rights and will not slacken its efforts until its status under the Agreement has been upheld and it has recovered appropriate compensation for the losses suffered and the damage to its reputation and business caused by the actions of the BCCSL in attempting to end the Agreement. © WSG Nimbus |
