Yorkshire signs three-year deal with textile company Media Release - 25 October 2001
Yorkshire County Cricket Club have this week announced a new three-year deal with Yorkshire based textile company Masons. After receiving tenders from several companies Masons has been chosen as the licence partner for a new range of ties and products for the cricket club. Masons Textiles Ltd., who are amongst the largest manufacturer of tie fabrics and accessories in Europe, producing over 6.5 million ties per year, will also be able to supply the Yorkshire CC products to various stores around Yorkshire, which hasn't previously happened. The licence agreement is believed to be one of the largest of its kind for tie wear, and shows the strength of the new Yorkshire County Cricket Club brand. Yorkshire's Commercial Director Tony Panaro commented: "Once again Yorkshire CC have managed to achieve an association with a Yorkshire-based company and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with Masons Textiles Ltd". Andrew Peedon, Managing Director of Masons Textiles Ltd. said: "Yorkshire County Cricket Club's new policy of supporting Yorkshire companies is a great one, and we at Masons are pleased to be handling such a prestigious contract." © Yorkshire CCC
