Consequent to the announcement of the dates of nominations and elections, the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka consulted the Police Department regarding the playing of matches during these periods, and was advised that it would be prudent to have a period before and after the elections during which matches will not played.

The Zimbabwe Cricket Union also requested an additional practice match prior to the Zimbabwe-Sri Lanka Test series.

Accordingly, the West Indies and Zimbabwe tours and the Triangular Tournament have been adjusted and the new itinerary is as follows:
