Knee injury sidelines Ormond Wisden CricInfo staff - September 15, 2001
The curse of the England seamer has struck once again - James Ormond has been forced to withdraw from the tour to Zimbabwe in October. Ormond, who made his Test debut against Australia at The Oval, has been suffering from patellar tendonitis to his right knee and doctors have advised that he rests before the tour to India in November.
David Graveney, chairman of selectors, said, "This will be a big disappointment for James but we very much hope that he will be able to prove his fitness for the Test tour to India. We will make an announcement about his replacement on Monday."
