Mike Watkinson has officially been appointed Lancashire's new cricket manager, following head coach Bobby Simpson's departure from the county. The newly-created position gives Watkinson greater responsibility than previous coaches.
Lancashire's chairman Jack Simmons said: "We looked at several likely candidates but Mike fulfilled the criteria we were looking for and we are delighted that he has accepted the role."
