BCCSL - 2 August 2002

The Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka, in its continuing efforts to strengthen and develop cricket in the outstations, has made arrangements for hundreds of schoolboy cricketers from outstation areas to travel to Colombo to watch the ACL Cables One Day International Series Bangladesh Versus Sri Lanka.

Over 350 schoolboy cricketers from under-13 and under-15 teams from the Matara, Kalutara, Gampaha, Anuradhapura and Kandy districts, accompanied by their teachers, will be accommodated by the BCCSL at the first and third matches of the ACL Cables One Day International Series Bangladesh Versus Sri Lanka, which are scheduled to be played at the SSC Grounds and the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on the 4th and 7th of August respectively.

The BCCSL thanks the corporate sponsors, "Harischandra," "Seylan Bank," "Maliban," "HNB," "Samahan," and "Dimo," who have come forward to sponsor and support this effort. (BCCSL Media Release)
