Selector and coach of the State Northern Spirit Cliff Dickeson has named a strong looking side with international experience play the State Central Hinds in a double-header of State League matches at Westpac Park this Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8.

The team is: Janice Fraser (captain), Aimee Lenssen, Maree Hannay, Becky Roderick, Jenny Stafford, Louise Milliken, Nicola Browne, Victoria Brown, Anna Wilkins, Charlotte Edwards, Megan Adler and Claire Garrood.

Milliken and Browne are current TelstraClear White Ferns while Edwards is a current England international.

Brown has recently been selected to attend the New Zealand Cricket Academy in 2003.

With the experienced Fraser at the helm the Northern Spirit are looking forward to being competitive throughout the season with an emphasis on improved consistency.
