SA Under-14 Country Cup gets underway South Australian Cricket Association - 16 December 2002
The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) has announced the schedule for the Under-14 Country Cup being played this week at Rostrevor College and Park 25 ovals. The carnival sees teams Barrier, Yorke Peninsula, South East, Fleurieu North, Upper North, Murray Districts, Fleurieu South, Lower North and Mid North compete for the annual Cup. The SACA's country cricket coordinator, Andrew Zesers, said the championship is the ideal opportunity for young, talented players to show their skills against their counterparts from across the State. "The Under-14 Country Cup is an integral part of the SACA's aim of creating pathways for up and coming cricketers. This competition provides many talented young players with the vehicle for progressing to the next level." The Cup will be contested in a round-robin style competition from Monday, December 16 to Wednesday, December 18. © 2002 South Australian Cricket Association
