Patrons that purchase a ticket to the fourth or fifth days of the Fourth Orange Test between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (29 or 30 December) will receive free general admission to Australia A's limited-overs match against Sri Lanka on 1 January, the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) announced today.
The promotion is being supported by the ACB's major sponsors Orange and Carlton & United Breweries and is a joint-initiative of the ACB, Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Cricket Club.
Fans that purchase a ticket to days four or five of the Test will need to keep their ticket to present to MCG ground staff on New Year's Day for entry to the Australia A fixture.
ACB Chief Executive Officer James Sutherland said the offer would reward Melbourne's passionate cricket followers with the opportunity to take in another high-quality international match.
"The ACB, Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Cricket Club are keen to maintain the terrific crowds that have attended the MCG over the last few days, and felt that this move would encourage cricket fans to continue to support what has been a well-attended season of international cricket," Mr Sutherland said.
General admission tickets for the Fourth Orange Test can be purchased at the gate or through Ticketmaster7 on 1300 13 61 22. Ticket prices start at $18.50 for children, $28.33 for concession/pensioners, $33.33 for adults and $73.86 for families.
