Cumming to replace Germon for remainder of Championship Steve Davie - 9 February 2002
Craig Cumming will captain the State Otago Volts lineup in its next three State Championship matches. Cumming replaces Lee Germon, who was available for the first four rounds of the Championship and the State Shield only. Chris Gaffaney returns to the side, having been omitted from the final shield match, and Rob Smith has also been included after missing the second half of the one-day series. Brendon McCullum is named, that selection pending the requirements of the New Zealand selectors for the National Bank One-Day International series against England. The New Zealand team for the first two one-dayers will be named on Monday. The State Otago Volts for this month's State Championship matches against Central Districts (at Alexandra, February 12-15), Wellington (Feb 18-21) and Auckland (Feb 25-28) are: Craig Cumming (captain), Andrew Hore, Robert Lawson, Brendon McCullum (Simon Beare on standby), Chris Gaffaney, Martyn Croy, Craig Pryor, Nathan Morland, David Sewell, Kerry Walmsley, James McMillan, Rob Smith. © CricInfo
