State Auckland Aces for round three of State Shield
Auckland Cricket Association - 4 January 2002

Having narrowly lost their first two home matches in the State Shield to the State Northern Knights and State Canterbury Wizards, the State Auckland Aces now travel to Alexandra to take on the State Otago Volts in round three of the State Shield at Molyneux Park tomorrow.

CLEAR Black Caps international Dion Nash returns to the State Auckland Aces having missing the opening rounds of the State Shield through suspension. Nick Horsley also comes into the team.

New Zealand Under-19 representative, Rob Nicol, was not available for selection due to a broken finger which will prevent him playing for ten days.

"We are very disappointed not to have won our first two matches, when the result was there for the taking. The players know they have played in two hard fought cricket matches and are disappointed not to have rewarded the very vocal and supportive Auckland crowd with victories," said State Auckland Aces coach and convener of selectors Tony Sail.

The State Auckland Aces team for round three of the State Shield is:

Brooke Walker (captain)
Andre Adams
Aaron Barnes
Tama Canning
Chris Drum
Mark Haslam
Matt Horne
Nick Horsley
Kyle Mills
Dion Nash
Mark Richardson
Reece Young
