CLEAR Black Caps team to play Australia A New Zealand Cricket - 7 January 2002
The CLEAR Black Caps team to play against Australia A at the Gabba in Brisbane tomorrow (Tuesday) is:
Stephen Fleming (captain) James Franklin and Brendon McCullum are the two players not selected. Coach Denis Aberhart said he would be looking for an accurate performance from his side. "We want to get into the right groove as quickly as possible. "I'll be looking for each individual player to have a positive influence on the game," he said. Aberhart went onto say that the team selected for tomorrow's game had the inside running for selection for the first match in the VB Series against Australia on Friday, January 11. "We've picked what we think is a shadow side at this stage for the first match in the VB Tri-Series, but the gate is by no means shut on the other three players. "We will be reassessing what we think is best for the team on a day-by-day basis," he said. © New Zealand Cricket
