England women lose third ODI and series in India
ECB Media Release - 9 January 2002

England women have lost the third one-day international at Hyderabad today, and with it the five match one-day series, with India taking a 3-0 lead.

England were clearly disappointed with their performance on tour so far, and Captain Clare Connor conceded "we haven't played well at all and India have been very solid in all departments. We are capable of competing with India and it's a massive disappointment that we just haven't shown it".

England Coach John Harmer speaking after the match said "We've got two practice matches between now and the Test Match on Monday (17th Jan) and we've got a lot to do in that time if we're going to be competitive for the rest of the series. The bowling did improve today, but the batting has been weak".
